Hello and welcome to the Loved Bride blog!
Firstly, thank you for stopping by. Whether you’re planning your wedding day, have recently been married, or are a guest attending a wedding, I hope you find something on this blog to have a sneaky read through. You’ve heard of the LBD, now this is the LBB (Loved Bride Blog); your secret weapon, your go to for when you need a bit of inspiration.
Here’s a little bit about me. I became a wedding stationer over 15 years ago and I loved it, but it got to the point where I could only make so many things by hand and I wanted to expand what I offered. So, I started a personalised wedding and gift company in 2015. Some of my most popular products included bridal party robes, signs and slippers. I loved my work, but sadly when covid hit and weddings were cancelled, I found it really tough and ultimately closed my business in 2021. I still have a passion for making things that add a little touch of magic to special occasions, and I can’t help but make things for friends and family, whether it’s a birthday cake, balloon display or keepsake box.
So, why a blog? I have made wedding invitations, balloon displays, robes, signs, bridesmaid boxes, etched glasses, slippers and probably lots of other things over the years. In fact, I think the only thing I haven’t done is made suits and dresses! I just love weddings, and I am obsessed with looking at other peoples big days (even though my own was 16 years ago). I know there are a lot of amazing blogs already out there, but I wanted to create one that was a bit more down to earth. I want to showcase some great venues, chat to suppliers and let them share their experiences and tips, share some incredible real weddings, and of course add a bit of shopping in too. And before you ask, yes, some of my posts will contain affiliate links, but hey, a girls gotta eat. What I can say is I won’t share anything that I wouldn’t use or I don’t genuinely think is worth talking about.
I hope you enjoy the blog, please feel free to get in touch if you are a supplier or a real bride and would like to be featured.
